My Celica’s glove box has its own light, which will only turn on with the parking lights on.

At first I was like, “Why the trouble?” But then I realized it’s a good idea, because if you leave your parking lights on, you’ll drain the battery no matter what. But if you were to leave your glove box open one night, or don’t latch it all the way accidentally, you’ll be good to go the next morning!

I see your glove box comes equipped with cup tippers like the ones in my 240d.

Yeah no kidding. I don’t think it could support the weight of a 16oz soft drink even parked.
